Pilates, strength training, physical therapy and massage under one roof in Plymouth, a short drive from the lake towns and the northwest suburbs.
The studio is at 2355 Polaris Lane N, Plymouth, MN 55447, just off I-494 and Highway 55. Below is roughly how long the drive takes from each town around us, measured outside rush hour, and what is worth knowing if you are coming from there.
From downtown Wayzata it is a short run up County Road 101, which makes the studio an easy stop before work. The doors open at 7:00 on Tuesdays and 6:30 on Thursdays, early enough to finish a Reformer class and still be at your desk by 9.
If you are starting from zero, the One Month Unlimited intro is $99 and covers as many Pilates Principles classes as you can fit in. Most people use that month to learn the equipment before they check off to Reformer 1.
From Minnetonka it is about 12 minutes up 494. If you are coming off a shoulder, hip or back injury, the reason to make the drive is that our licensed physical therapists and Pilates instructors work in the same room, so rehab and classes are planned together.
The new client physical therapy package is a PT assessment plus four private sessions for $500. Your therapist builds the plan, and when you are ready for classes your instructor already knows which cues and loads to keep.
Maple Grove is the longest drive on this list, about 9 miles straight down 494, so it helps to make each trip count. The Unlimited membership is $275 a month for up to one class a day and takes 10% off privates and massage.
A 30 or 50 minute therapeutic massage can go on the same trip as a class. Our massage therapist is also a physical therapist assistant and a Pilates instructor, so what she finds on the table carries into your next session.
Golden Valley is a straight shot west on Highway 55, about 11 minutes outside rush hour. Wednesday is our late night, with the doors open until 8:30 PM for anyone who cannot get away during the day.
Our Reformers are fitted with the Konnector, a single rope with four independent loops so each arm and leg works against its own resistance. It lets us train bodies that do not move evenly, after surgery, with scoliosis or with one-sided weakness, in ways a standard strap cannot.
From Medina it is County Road 24 east and a short stretch of Highway 55. Weekends are the easy time to come in: Saturday runs 7:30 to 11:30 AM and Sunday 9 to 11 AM.
If classes are not the right first step, private sessions start at $110 with a Pilates trainer. A private hour is where we work out your modifications, so group classes feel familiar by the time you join one.
Crystal is about 15 minutes west along Rockford Road. Pilates MN has been in Plymouth since 2007, and the team is now 19 instructors and clinicians.
Strength training runs alongside the Pilates schedule as small group circuit classes with certified strength trainers. It is aimed at bone density, muscle and balance as you age, and most people take it alongside their Reformer classes.
New Hope is the same Rockford Road drive as Crystal, a couple of minutes shorter. Single classes are $40 if you want to try one before committing to a package.
Physical therapy here is not billed through insurance, but HSA and FSA funds can be used where they apply, and our physical therapists give you the billing codes to submit for possible reimbursement.
From Orono it is about 20 minutes east on County Road 6, the longest drive in the lake area. A 10 class package is $320 with six months to use it, which suits a schedule that does not fit a weekly routine.
If you are not sure whether to start with classes, privates or physical therapy, call the front desk and describe what is going on. They will point you to the right first visit.
